Theoretically, sneezing can be due to irritation, but not so much as of food. A change of temperature, strong sunlight, the presence of a foreign body in the nasal cavity, and fumes or emanations from some plants and from many chemicals, can induce bouts of sneezing, but However, sneezing is most commonly a symptom of a cold, of hay fever, or of asthma.
Sneezing after you eat is sometimes referred to Reverse Sneezing. Reverse sneezing isn't really a health problem; it is simular to the honking, hacking or a snorting sounds that usually happens when a dog is excited or can sometimes happen after drinking, eating, running around, or while pulling on the leash.
The dog will usually extend his/her neck while gasping inwards with a distinctive snorting sound, it is reverse sneezing. And although, it is not concidered a health problem in dogs, Consult with your doctor.
Hope this answers your question!

Allergies might. Though since it happens mostly in restaurants, it may not be the food that is causing the sneezing.
