First apologize to her, then if she's still mad at you, then she's a *****, and not worth the effort. If she called you a dick wad.. it either means she doesnt like you at all.. or shes playing hard to get.

Look this same exact thing happened to me and i swear i was about to go physco on this guys a**, but he wasn't sincere at all in his apoligy, so if you said you were sorry in a certain tone of voice she might have taken it in a way like you didn't really mean it, and maybe the 2nd time you said it nicer and she knew you were sincere, so it could just be the way you said it.

Try to approach her again and see if she is open to having a convo with you. AND do not tell her you didn't mean to trip her. the only chance you had to say that was when it actually happened
