I am 5'5", and 125 pounds. I would like to lose 10 pounds, so I can fit back in my jeans. I eat a very large amount of junk food. How much weight could I lose in just over 3 weeks? I have a feeling that it will shed fast by cutting out all junk food. Do you think two dress sizes is to much to strive for in 3 weeks, or is it possible? Thank you all.

If you are 5' 5" and 125...it doesn't sound like you are really FAT! It sounds like if you loose 2 dress sizes you will be a size 0 or 2. Anyway...there is no such thing as a "diet" in my mind. If you diet...you will gain it back. You have to change your lifestyle if you want to loose weight and keep it off. I have lost weight 3 times in my life once through weight watchers, then Jenny Craig, and finally I did it on my own. When I did it on my own I cut back, drank water and I exercise every day. I don't eat junk food. I look at food as fuel for my body. If you don't change your life to loose weight...I know for sure you will put it back on...maybe over 3 years, but it does go back on.

Generally speaking you shouldn't be losing more than 1 to 2 pounds per week. BUT, if you cut out the junk food and add in an exercise program, it conceivably could come off faster, a lot of it could be water retention from the salt in teh junk food. Just be smart, don't try any fad diets or shady weight loss medications or practices, and adopt a healthy life style for LIFE, not just until you fit in your pants again. Good luck.

highly possible! stay away from sweets (sugar-rich food) and carbohydrates (rice, pasta, and potatoes). load up on fish and fruits. AND try to exercise at least 30 minutes a day to increase your metabolism. :)
