I am growing my hair out. It's almost sitting on my shoulders, but before I had it short and flipped out (so cute by the way, I loved it) but now for winter, I'm going with lowlights and growing it out. I of course have this natural flip thing going on and different layers. I'm getting lowlights put in, but I need to do something different with my style! It's just not working as I'm growing it out! Should I just get the ends trimmed and leave the shorter layers alone seeming how those are what needs to grow?

Yep, that's what I did while I was growing my hair out. Your hair sounds just like what my hair used to look like before all my layers grew out. It takes time, but eventually the shorter layers will catch up to the longest layer. You might want to get the shorter layers trimmed just a smidge...to get rid of any dead ends so they stay healthy. Good luck!

That sounds nice. Just make sure you are very clear with your hair stylist.
