People blame local authorities for creating ethnic ghettos in cities.
(lot of ethnic minorities put into poor neighbourhoods)

Authorities say it's bacause the ethnic mnorities like to
live amongst family and when their familiy comes from abroad,
They get housing near their own family. It;s their own choice.

Who's wright? Whos; wrong? Are they both right?
What do you think about this?
I think its true from both sides. But I also believe that
authorities do nothing to prevent creation of such "ghettos"
They see it as a happy accident and have a darn good excuse aftwerwards.

What's your take on this?

It's the fault of the authorities, heavily supported by the loony liberal PC brigade who have foisted this multi-cultural experiment onto, and at the expense of, the indigenous UK population. There are some cultures so radically different from what is the British "norm" they will never fit in. In much the same way that oil and water won't mix, multi-culturalism will only separate out into different layers.

My thoughts on your 2nd paragraph - This is the rhetorical chicken-or-egg question. Sure its their choice to live near family, but why is their family in that particular place?

I believe that people who move to America don't always understand American society to the point where they can find a way out of the ghetto. They don't always know how to go about getting an education in order to make more money. A lot of American middle class adults take night classes but not so many immigrants or poor people.

I believe that America's capitalist society aims to keep most people down, so they can be controlled by those who are in power. If they can sell people on the belief that the lack of financial success in ethnic minorities is a direct result of belonging to that minority, they will have immense power over the minds of minority groups.

I think both sides are too blame. I occasionally visit a member of my family who lives in these ghettos. It's not a place where a White middle class family could go and live. My belief is that a number of ethnic minorities prefer to be living next door to one another because of the familiarity and for some reason they do not see the deprivation around them. dunno why. The authorities are totally inept. Alot of them claim there are no ghetto's.

Both, minority populated urban areas may recieve less public service funding due to racism and they may recieve more of it due to affirmative action or "good-press" style politics. But at the same time the actions of the people within these areas is just that, their own. Minority race/ethnic groups have many beneficial ideas and attitudes; strong work ethic and family connection. But they also have a negative tendancy to expound upon the very ideas which they and others criticize, affinity for violence organized or domestic, disregard for the importance of education, drug abuse and sale. Popular entertainment such as movies and rap/hip-hop "music" emboss these unproductive trends in the minds of the youth.
Not all people in ghettos are to blame for their state. Many make unbelievable sacrifices and efforts to positively change their surroundings and help themselves and others strive and achieve more than the stereotypical "ghetto" life.
This is not merely a question of race or ethnicity. Growing up in a majority caucasion town myself and numerous friends were involved in the same activities drug use, theft, vandalism, violence, we may not share skin color but we do share a stronger bond, poverty. Money truely is the root of all evils.
And it goes farther, those who are in positions or power come from mostly affluent households and dont understand what its like to have to steal to be able to eat, or to give a birthday or christamas gift for someone you love. This distances them from those in economic need and may push them to believe that the abundance of crime in these areas stems from an antisocial or unintelligent population base when it can more be easily attributed to necessity.
Both sides are at fault and both are able to help the situation in their own ways. Understanding is the key so perhaps the self-isolation of ethnic minorities may undermine the ability to interact and comprehend each other but you dont see rich people moving to the ghetto to help the situation either.

Listen I live in this area in Miami Fl., not ghetto but Haitians and Afro-American to live there It's going through construction,

a mall is built there business, quaint restaurants some expensive, roads getting fixed and its looking really good.

But wait Realtors are coming to unexpected black minorities with cash and buying them out of their home. Of course when, we see cash we take and run.

Some of them get cheated and found out they house were worth more than 100 grand when in fact its worth 300 to 500 more.

I guess we just don't deserve anything nice to them anyways. To make matters worse, they are convincing them to move down where the floor level is low and when it rains flood takes over. Gross! It's disgusting on how the system works sometimes.

Only our Goverment or a State Government have the power to create an ethinc ghetto. And all of those areas that contain ghetto's, Where placed there by State Government sponsered by our Federal Government. Also places like a China-town are also sponsered by our Federal and State Government in the way of loans, Or welfare etc, Which makes it easier for them to just stay where they are because its just so cheap to live in those area's.....................................................

It could be both. Authority beulid governmwnt housing because they are cheap to bulid, and they can fit as much people as they can into a buliding. The people make the crime rate high because they steal, murder,or rape.

Both are right in their own way, for the reasons you have stated above. A good question but not an easy solution to it i fear.
