Why do women/girls nowadays engage more and more in womens homosexuality (lesbianity)?

Are women born homosexual creatures and now with the ever
than before sexual freedom and freedom to express,
girls come forth?

Is it because it's a trend?

Is it just my imagintion?

Or something else?

sorry for the wrong choice of words. I think "lesbianism" is the correct word and I ddint mean to call women "creatures" (lol).

My qustion wasnt very clear I guess. I was trying to find out if women could not in fact be born with
some gay sexual extent. Other than hetero men. I know its siuns sexist but its not my intention.
For hetero men its easy. You dont have to ask yourself if you have gay-feelings.
You rerally know, its hardwired.
And I'm not joking nor being blunt or trying to be funny. so dont pun me for this.

Could it be that females are already Born gay to some extent?
Yeha, I jknow I already figured out and gone through the closet-media and acceptance
theory,
And that porn is a male dom. world were you can see alot what appeals to men thats why you see more lesbianism bla bla.
But Im still not sattisfied.

Do you mean lesbianism? Try looking through all of the gay pride marches and equal opportunities campains over the past 40 years at least including the presence of Mardi Gras.

Look more so over the past 10 years, programmes such as the L - word and queer as folk, and soaps such as coronation street and even brookside (who can forget the anna friel kiss), and celebrities such as angelina jolie and sharon stone are helping to break down stereotypes. As it becomes more accepted people will have more confidence to be accepting of their sexuality and will not hide it as they felt they had to a few years ago.

Plus as someone pointed out you do get the odd straight bird jumping on the band wagon but even if you eliminate these there are rising numbers of women and men coming out of the closet. lesbianism isn't on the up as such its just people are more willing to be honest about it.

I was born gay and much as i wouldn't change that now, i wouldn't have chosen to go through the misery i had to go through to be who i am today just to be different and to piss people off. I went through it because i was totally miserable trying to mould my life to fit with a heterosexual path. It just isn't who i am and i felt trapped and smothered trying to do that.

The creatures comment is a little insulting tho. ;oD

Hope this helped

By the way, i snog women cos i fancy the a**e off them not cos i want a man!

o.k. i don't like the second part of ur answer. people are not creatures.

i have mentioned before that if something is mentioned publicly, it has a suggestive effect, like adverts. this life style is now well known and a realistic alternative lifestyle for many girls.

the more people who are involved in something, the more socially acceptable it is believed to be. The more socially acceptable it seems, the more join.

not a vicious circle this one just a snowball effect.

i don't mind so much because there is a lot less chance these girls will die of std's.

sorry to be so john blunt.

does it help at all/

i don't think the human race will die out because of it.

Homo sexuals, lesbians were there from times immemmorial. It constitutes only small percentage even now. What has happened is the matter which was never open for discussion ,is now widely discussed in open. The church is responsible to this to certain extent. It taught sex as SIN.It asked women to be virgin for lfe, without marriage and sex to reach God.This resulted in growth of sex perversion.Hetro sex and free sex was not allowed to save women from unwanted pregnancy. Now contraception has made sex with out fear of pregnancy and as such there is no reason why there should be lesbians now

It's not just lesbians, the same goes for gay men.I don't think there is more of it. I think the media etc have made it more acceptable and yes, in a way trendy to be a lesbian/gay so people are less likely to hide it these days.

There are two factors:

1. Homosexuals are becoming more accepting of their orientation, and the world is (very slowly though) accepting homosexuals.
2. The increase in technology/internet gives homosexuals additional means to communicate.

So, there hasn't been an "increase" in homosexuality. Its merely an "increase in their presence".

Women have kept it secret as men have , until more
came out and told of their sexuality.
It is getting more understood why they are lesbians / gay
Some men hurt women so often that women turn to other
women for support and understanding
These women fall in love with the women who have understood.

some think it's cute, others have emotional issues and want attention, but mostly it's just the evils of the world taking over and stupid people try to justify unnatural acts and make everyone feel it's okay...

Partly trend, partly acceptance. In the past, gay people were not accepted (Hitler gassed them for example). Now no-one cares any more - people can be who they want to be.

to be honest i think alot of it is stupid women thinking they need to snog their best mate to get a man. Its mad!
also i've noticed that friends' divorced mothers are turning that way. i think its to do with wanting something different to what they had in their marriages and whats the opposite of a man? - A WOMAN!
