I mean I have this recipe , which calls for dried marjoram and sage powder or dried leaves but what I can I replace it with if I don't have it ?what could be nice alternatives which could be substituted with ?

This links below are full of information on spices and herbs. The second link is a great reference to herbs and gives substitutes. You can replace marjoram with oregano and sage with savory or rosemary.

do you have oregano? its virtually the same as marjoram just a little more pungent. there really is no substitute for sage but ground thyme might work.

Tarragon, thyme and rosemary wold be a nice combination.
