I'm sending a bottle of wine to my daughter's future in-laws, whom I've never met. I'm looking for the correct wording to include on the note to the inlaws from me, mother of the bride. It needs to be short and brief, but meaningful. Any ideas?

I'm so glad that your son makes our/my daughter so happy and am looking forward to meeting you.

I think the idea is great. Something short and sweet. Perhaps express how delighted you are that they are going to be part of your family. Don't mention the gift at all in the letter for etiquette reasons. Express that you look forward to many happy family functions together and how you are elated to welcome them into your family. Make sure its handwrtten on nice stationary or blank card.

How about a plain and simple:

I'm really looking forward to meeting you, welcome to the family!
