I would say I am at a 5 these days! I could be happier, but you didn't give us a 6 to choose from! :) My life is full, spiritual, comfortable, loving, learned, and rich in experience. I am reasonably healthy, have enough money to live, have two beautiful daughters who are bright and loving, a husband who works hard and shares in my life every day, and I live in a quiet, modest neighborhood with good neighbors. What more could you ask for to BE happy to the nth degree? :)

I had to retire through ill-health.
i'm happy because I haven't got to go back that hell-hole, but I'm not content with doing nothing. The bastards won't let me do any type of work part-time or otherwise because they will stop my pension.
So I'm bored most of the time. particularly this time of year when the weather is crap and the days are short.
But I am not suicidal.

It really depends on what you mean by being happy. am I happy with the way things are going in my life? Not really, I'd give that a 2. But at the same time I am happy that I'm excepted and loved by Jesus Christ and a caring family. That's what's really important.

Sorry, but happiness isn't static. Right now I'm about 3. Sometimes 5, sometimes 1. That's the way it is.
