I would probably take all my relatives from Here in Scotland as well as friends, to my home town of Stayner, Ontario and havea good old fashioned holiday with my parents adn friends and family over there. I havent been home to Canada for a christmas for a long time. I would also make sure that my sisters were there as we three girls havent spent a christmas together in our family home, for over 16 yrs. Yup, i think that would be nice. I would also go to midnight mass with my parents and read the night before xmas for old times sake.

I love the Smokey Mtns at Christmas time. It is always so pretty. In Pigeon Forge, TN it is a Winter Wonderland with all kinds of lights. Oh that is always so beautiful. I love it there. If you have never done that before, you have to try it at least once. I will be there!! If you do go then, you should try to stay through the New Year. In Gatlinburg, TN which is only like 20 min drive from Pigeon Forge, they do their own ball drop. It is sooooo much fun. Hope you have a great holiday.

I love skiing so would go to either the French Alps or Canada. A winter holiday beats all and Christmas in the snow is magical. I have already experienced this several years running.

I helped a friend edit his vacation video of a ski trip to Austria at Christmas time a couple of years ago. Since then, I've wanted to go to Germany / Austria / Switzerland for Christmas ever since.

I am going away over Christmas, but not with the package holiday companies. No, I got fed up with shoddy customer service from Thompson. I'm off to the costa del sol, on a DIY trip. I phoned the hotel direct, bought my own cheap flights from www.easyjet.com and I will organise my own transfers. They ignored my complaints, so they got what they wanted, a dissatisfied customer. Now I do it myself, any complaints, I deal with them. I find my own customer service much better than Thompsons. :O) At least I deal with mine. For me, the package holiday companies are a thing of the past And know what? Doing it yourself, works out hundreds cheaper. Why didn't I do it years ago?...............good luck.
