Christians should stop and ask, see the store manager and ask why they don't say Merry Christmas. Last year my 5 year old son wished a Walmart Worker Merry Christmas and they would not even say anything.

I ask why and they said they were not allowed to say Merry Christmas, my son started crying. The sad thing is not my son, his heart is in the right place, the sad part is political correctness.

Merry Christmas.

Witty.

Historically, the pendulum of political influence over business marketing swings back and forth every ten years or so. There will always be people on both sides, but personally it doesn't bother me. My beliefs are individually based and no one will stop me from thinking what I want to, or saying "Merry Christmas" when I believe it's appropriate.

I live in a place where Christmas abounds and everyone here celebrates the Christ Child and His Birthday. We pray every day, and share our faith each day. We attend chapel 4 days a week, and Church on Sunday. Nobody is powerful enough to remove our love for Christ and we speak of Him to anyone who cares to listen. Material things mean nothing to us and we appreciate and love each other. Most of us don't shop on Sunday.

I actually think this is really clever, and quite brilliant....you have hit the nail on the head with this prose, and i don't think it is too long....to tell you the truth I'm totally blown away by how this brings out the truth how Christmas has changed over the years, and lost the real sense of Christmas.....well done.

Your Bitterness is misplaced although understandable. You are correct that Christmas should not be removed or hidden, but crying "victim" is a tad disingenuous.

That Said

Merry Christmas.

Here's something which I wrote nearly a year ago:

The ABC’s of the End of Year Celebration
by Klaus Peter Stuchlik (alias DJ PETRO)

A is for Acceptance - Everyone needs to feel that they belong.

B is for Beneficial - We all believe we are beneficial to someone.

C is for Caring - Can we care for just one more individual?

D is for Devotion - Do we dare become what we are devoted to?

E is for Enthusiasm - How enthusiastic can we be about life, both now and in the future?

F is for Festive - How enthralled are our hearts as we perceive temporary changes in our environs?

G is for Giving - Giving creates something both within us and others.

H is for Hospitality - Hospitality says that others are worthy of our graciousness.

I is for Inspiration - How are we influenced by the gaiety of this time?

J is for Joy - Eliminate it and what kind of world would we have?

K is for Kindness - We are better when we both give and receive to others.

L is for Love - Even the Fab Four (The Beatles) said this was all we need.

M is for Magnificence - Consider and reflect on the most wonderful world scenes.

N is for Novel - Many are the ways we can celebrate this time of year.

O is for Originality - Your manner of demonstrating caring and sharing can be unique.

P is for Personal - Your individuality will certainly be demonstrated in your expression.

Q is for Quality - This may be a time to demonstrate your best virtues to all mankind.

R is for Relish - Approach this time of the year with all that lies within you.

S is for Significance - Who are those in your life who are dear to your heart?

T is for Tastes - Everyone enjoys a variety of those things we have in life.

U is for Universality - Even a smile expressed at this time will be warmly received.

V is for Value - That which is special to someone may always be treasured.

W is for Worth - The price of your tokens of esteem may not be the most important factor.

X is for Xanadu - What represents paradise for you and others may be recreated at this time.

Y is for Youth - Each one of us demonstrates, in some way, a tendency towards that which is reminiscent of our childhood.

Z is for Zest - We may express with vigorous emotion that which we feel for another.

The End of Year celebration is a terminology which I have coined, though I do heartily enjoy the passion of the season. Beause I'm both a Christian and a Jew (Messianic Believer) and because my studies conclude that Meschiach was born around the feast of Tabernacles it is the love of the season we share at this time which is of most value and cherished even by YHWH (tetragrammaton for G-d) because we are told in scripture that love for one another is above all.

So remember that even the spirit of Christmas is His creation because it was in the cross where He defined our value by giving that which was most precious to Him for each of us.

awww poor poor persecuted Christians. how hard life is for you! to have to live with the existence of nonChristians in the secular country in which you reside. to have to consider the feelings of nonChristians is such a burden!

but take heart! Jesus will return and send all those nasty intolerable nonChristians to hell and you'll have heaven and a brand new planet ALL to yourselves! won't that be lovely?
