There are a number of strategies you can use -- here is a website with many of them. These guys (GeesePeace) don't promote killing the geese, but yes, that's an option too. Please note that for some options, the time of year is very important. You don't want to mess with the geese while they're molting, but if you scare them away during the right time of year, they'll stay gone.

The person who suggested that you "donate the geese to a local park" is out of their mind. Canadian Geese are NOT native year round residents of most parts of the US, and there are severe overpopulation problems in many parts of the US due to the removal of brush- and forested land and the expansion of lovely suburban parks and ponds and golf courses. I promise you that most parks are struggling with the problem of how to remove geese and most certainly won't want yours.

DON'T KILL THEM!!! Call Animal Control. Maybe they can find a park or somewhere for the geese to live.

I read somewhere about golf courses and airports were using grape juice pellets on the lawn because geese did not like them.
Maybe spray grape juice, the smell will keep them away? or put down grapes..but then you may attract rodents.

Shotgun! Kidding...you can call your local animal control, which is normally through your police department. They'll probably trap them and donate to a local park.

Use a shotgun. Heavy shot, cause those suckers are big. Not only get rid of em, but also have something to eat...
Otherwise, contact your dept of fish and wildlife
