Okay... I'm going through the EXACT same situation, and I've heard answers just like all the ones ppl are giving you on here. NONE of them help, bc they're all trying to say that the church is wrong, and God will love you no matter what... People have said these things to me and they only make me feel worse.
I mean, its freaky how much your situation sounds like mine. I mean, I would have NO problem with the social rejection that goes along with being gay, but I don't want to be sinning.
Add me to YIM... I'd really like to discuss this more...
God Bless... I'll be praying 4u...

Sorry, but I don't feel guilty about being attracted to anybody.
Instead of just feeling guilty about something because the church says you should feel guilty about it, try using your own brain. I'm sure you can figure out the pros and cons of being with either a man or woman. You really can sort out your own feelings.
I don't believe in any gods. I also realize that attraction is an emotion. There's nothing shameful about emotions. Everybody has them. Personally, I don't think there is anything wrong with homosexuality. I'm hetero, but to each their own.

Being gay is not a birth defect or a sin. There is no reason to feel guilty. 10% of the population is. The fundamental Christians are doing a brainwashing on you. Find a church that accepts you as you are, and forget these bigots.

You know, as a former christian and a gay guy all my life (and I mean the entire freaking thing, my first crush in 2nd grade was for Bazooka on GI Joe), I pity you the hate your fellow Christians are likely about to show you.

I have not been in your position so I can only give you advice based on my interpretation of the bible.
The bible says homosexuality is a sin in the OT. This is the same area where the bible says that a rapist must marry his victim after giving her father 50 sheckles of silver. (Duet 22:28-29)
I think you need to take this into consideration when you are thinking about the church's opinion on it as well as the bible's viewpoint.

you are born that way
in what way do you want to live?
in what way do you want to die?
you must choose
you must think carefully about homosexual lifestyle and what will you lose and what will you gain if you choose it
no one has nothing
no one has everything
make the decision and take responsibility

Same sex attraction is a sin just like lying or anything else it is weighed the same. Continute to pray and ask God to remove the feelings or show you how to remove yourself from the situations you may come into.
