If nothing's happend for a month, nothing's going to happen. It sounds like you're going to have to do some self-surgery. Get a needle and a pair of tweezers, sterilize them, and get that f**ker out of there. Try to dig the hair out with the needle, then use the tweezers to pluck it out. It'll probably be all long and coiled and disgusting.

If it's somplace that you can't see, you should probably go back to the doctor and have them deal with it. You don't want to be stabbing at yourself blindly.

Well, if necessary, you can use a pair of tweezers to untuck the hair end out of your skin so you can remove it the hair. Then I'd make sure to use rubbing alcohol (yes it will hurt, but it will clean the infected area and dry it) on the spot where the hair was removed from.

Like the previous answers, you have to "dig" it out with tweezers.
Yes, it's going to hurt, but it will feel a lot better a day or two later.
If you want to prevent ingrown hairs in the future, try "Anti-bumps shave gel". It has microbeads in it that help to prevent those nasty painful things. I used to get them occasionally too, but this stuff really helps. You can get it at any drug store, or Wal-Mart.

get a good body scrub and a loofah. Wash with it and use every time after you shave. It will remove the dead skin and allow the hair to come out and hopefully prevent it from happening again.

I think it is from shaving, because when you shave the hair can sometimes grow back thicker, and when it does grow back, its sometimes over crowded and it doesn't have much room, but to grow inward. That sometimes causes hair bumps also. Anywho, maybe you should try waxing , because that takes the hair completly out the cuticle!
