I have two dogs. I got the male March of this year and the female in May. They get along very well but when I go to pet the female the male nudges her away and he wants all of the attention. Also, he takes food away from her. So I have to feed them sperately. Is there a way to teach him that I love both of them?

It's all abour rank with dogs. Talk to a trainer about teaching each dog what rank they are in the family. The dog who gets the treat first is top ranked dog, etc. They have to have rank to feel comfortable.

I have the same problem, I have a Blue Heeler and a beagle. The beagle thinks she is the boss, I try to give them equal attention and equal love. I honestly believe that is a dog thing that we as humans can not master. Only Caesar Melan can :-)
I try to have a spray bottle full of water with me to brake any bad habits, like dominance. I learned that from the puppy classes, my beagle is very stubborn and so far that is the only thing that gets her attention. I have it on stream not spray, If it is on spray they will just lick it up. Follow it with the command "Wrong or No". Good luck with that hope this helps.

Do not allow him to nudge the other dog out of the way.Instead tell him no and pet both at the same time.You have to stop him from taking her food before he takes it.If he does get it before you can stop him just take the food from him and give it back to her.To show both of them equal love play with both of them at the same time.Take both of them for walks at the same time.Anything you do for 1 dog you must do for the other dog.
