Duloxetine (Cymbalta) is an over priced drug used for depression and pain and YES it may lead to an elevation in liver enzymes (due to metabolism) but NO it should not lead to any permanage damage as simple blood work every 6 months will detect such an elevation in liver enzymes before any permanent damage occurs. Enzymes are released by all cells so there is a 'normal' amount and if the organ is 'stressed' cell birth/death is accelerated and the amount of enzymes are increased as a result.

It is metabolized through the liver-so yes, it can elevate liver enzymes.
