I am not Moslem but I understand there are literally billions of young people who can manage to last until dark without eating. I can not understand why anyone would think that is a good idea, but discipline and respect for elders are very valuable lessons.

guess it depends on how much you believe in your religion. If it says don't eat and starve to death, not much of a religion but go for it but if you want to believe in life and eating of the dead, go for it.
