yes I'm talking about the ghd hair straightener.the hairdresser told me but it doesn't work.

GHD, I guess you mean their hair straightener?
I haven't done this myself as I don;t have long hair and I have never been asked to have curly hair for a job, but I have watched various stylists doing it for female models for shoots.
It seems to me that they do this:
Curl the hair with the straighteners, literally just get it hot, trap some hair and twist it. You have to hold it there for a little while, then finger through some matte clay or some spray gel, then finish with hair spray.
It's probably easier to get someone else to do it for you.
