I had to walk to my car in the cold, icy rain, and I forgot my umbrella and had no cover for my head. I was drenched and frozen by the time I got to my car. (When I left for school yesterday it was about 60 degrees, hence the unpreparedness). Anyway, I got a headache last night and still have it today. Is the headache possibly just from the coldness on my face for so long? Or could it be that I'm getting a sinus infection or cold or something?

It was 60 degrees during the day and at night the temperature dropped...oooh I know that's a crazy concept, but it happens.

A cold or sinus infection wouldn't have been brought on by the cold (thats a myth) but that doesn't mean your not getting one. However, having your head submerged or even covered in icy water can bring on a headache all by itself. Take some Excedrin and maybe a bath or shower. Good luck.

That is the very first symptom I had when I got the flu when I was 25. The headache wouldn't go away and the next 3 days I was laid up on the couch and couldn't do anything. Hope that's not what you have but it sounds like it could be.

okay, well I would have to say I have gone through that before...It may be a sinus infection, but I think it is most likely stress. Have you been stressed about anything lately, that the cold air could have triggered it, causing a headache? I would suggest taking an aromatherapy relaxation bath to calm yourself and open up your senses w/ the smells, and then maybe take some aromatherapy hedache oil and rup some on your forhead to calm down your headache.

U might be getting a cold or viral systemic infection as the weather must have weakened your body.
Do not self medicate unless you know your diagnosis (virus cant be countered by drugs)
Increase your fluid intake and rest
for headache and fever you could take paracetamol or ibuprofen every 4 hours

It sounds like a sinus headache. There are several over-the-counter medications to treat this but I like extra-strength Excedrin the best. It seems to work on all my headaches within 20 mins.

Since when is 60 degrees icy cold? Anyway, you're probably just coming down with a cold. Whenever your body undergoes dramatic changes in temperature or if you are stressed your immune system gets compromised. Germs are everywhere. Most of the time your body just fights them off. It is when your immune system is weakened that you get sick.
