I agree Hanafi...I ask this question many times.....
I don't think there is anyone that has read the whole bible with full understanding to it, that's still a chrisitian.... because how can someone read the whole bible inside out and still be a chrisitian when it has many contradictions and lies? [sorry if your offended]
Apart from contradictions....what do you call these?

OK, first of all, despite what liberals want you to believe, there is only 1 Bible, the Word of God.
Now, the Bible isn't something that's "read" in the sense you read a fiction novel. The Bible is read and studied. Some people take the Bible literally. Others believe it's full of metaphors. The truth is, it depends on what book of the Bible you are studying as to whether it should be taken literally or used as metaphors. For example, the Books of the Prophets (ie Daniel, Isaiah etc) are metaphors because the prophets were teaching about events that hadn't occurred yet and they were using metaphors to help people understand. The Book of Revelation also uses metaphors. On the other hand, the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John), for example should be taken literally as those Books documented the life of Jesus Christ, His ressurection, His rising, and His ascension to Heaven. As to how often believers read or study the Bible. Some do so every day, others a few times a week. Believers use the Bible as a "owner's manual", if you will. Notice, though, I distinguish between believers and Christians. There are those who say they are Christians and yet are not believers.

I read it daily. Usually in the morning and then before I go to sleep. That is what is amazing about the Bible. It is easy to understand and yet everytime I read it there is something new and deep and more profound. Every verse has a point and is a gem I will never find them all but I do want to try to understand as much as I can. I really do try to follow the teaching of the Bible but, I am not perfect. Most peolpe think that I would have a boring life but I don't really I have a great time with friends and I go out with different people laugh and make jokes. It is not hard to still have a great time.

I think that the average christian relies on his preacher to read the bible and they listen to him or even her. Personally I have averaged about 10 or 11 hours per week for the past 4 years, and as for the 14 years before that I averaged about an hour or 2 per week of study. I think that most christians do not have a good understanding of their beliefs, not to mention a good idea of what the bible actually teaches. I feel like I have acquired a solid knowledge and understanding of the christian scriptures as well as several other religious faiths. I believe that most christians sin without even realizing they are because they lack this understanding, I believe a great deal of other christians knowingly sin and contradict the bibles teachings. I am not a hypocrite, I fail to practice all of the bible's teachings at all times but I am aware of it when I fall short.

Lol, I am a Christian, so I can answer this question using myself as an example. I read the bible every couple of the days, and it is like a verse. I go to Church once a week so then the priest can read the bible to me and other people around my age, and teach us any symbols or deeper meanings of the passage. When I read by myself, I do not understand the bible to the deepest meaning, but I read it to inform me of any lessons that the chapter/book is trying to point out. So Christians aren't smarter than the non-believers, they are just trying to guide themselves in life from what they believe in (all religions!)

Well you don't so much read the Bible as study it to get a better understanding. Many nonbeleivers do this as well, but sometimes become confused or just beleive it is a bunch of hogwash. The thing is no one man completly understands the Bible, some things were ment to stay a mystery. Our minds are to simple to understand every word of the Lord. That is why many "Christians" go to church or bible study. To try to better understand it. No one is perfect. We all fall and stumble. It is those with strong faith and love for the Lord that stand back up and continue down there own path.

It varies. Since you are trying to take a survey I'll answer for myself. In the last 40 years I've probably read my Bible about 30 times through - maybe a little less, I haven't really counted carefully.
I don't find too many believers today who are reading their Bibles through seriously.
Do I really practise all the teachings in the Bible? I try too. But I take them in their context. That is to say a lot of things mentioned in the Old Testament, while still useful as teaching tool, are not meant to be practiced today because they served as an image beforehand of the Messiah - Christ who was to come.

My rather small experiences from travailing some of the world is, in my opinion, that IN almost ALL religions you may find true followers that do their best to live PEACEFULLY within their beliefs. A small percentage turn the religious writings into a personal interpretation for self benefit. Some for good some not so good.
Weather Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Jewish or other, there are followers who indulge in many levels of commitment to their religions.
Regardless of any ones level of commitment I think it is a shame and rather childish, for lack of a better term, the way some people use religion to justify the harming or killing of people.
Have you ever seen small kids argue about a chair or a toy saying "I was here first, It is my chair" or "That's my toy! Give it back" as the child uses force to either gain the territory of the chair or secure possession of the toy.
Sound familiar to many situations around the world between countries?
What a responsible parent does, normally, is teach the two children how to share and get along with each other.
Rather trivial way of approaching problems that have besieged the world for generations, but ya just gotta say
"COME ON KIDS YOU CAN SHARE AND GET ALONG WITH EACH OTHER"

I have read the Bible through a few times. These days I do thematic studies (I post some of them to my blog). I try to get a full understanding of what I am reading by exploring the context, finding out what cultural references there are (how many times have we misunderstood things in the Bible because they are figures of speech or euphemisms. Song of Solomon is full of them). For instance, how many people realise that Luke & Acts are kind of like a detectives report, or that Paul's letters to the churches are, in the main, letters to congregations that have got things wrong? Why not have a dip into the Apocrypha sometime? It might not be canon, but there is still some good stuff. Read Psalm 151, for instance, or Esdras 1.

I use the old Catholic lectionary to guide me. Which means I read the entire New Testament twice in a year...and the Old Testament once per year...
I have been doing this for 12 years. Which means that I have read the entire Bible 12 times...and the New Testament 24, and that's just in the last decade or so.
I have a degree in English Literature and a seminary degree in Theology. I think I understand the Bible pretty well.
I do try to practice the teachings of the scriptures...but - no - I don't follow the OT Laws as we are not under Law but Grace, since the death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

How many times have you read the Owner's Manual to your microwave? You still know how it works, right?
I would say, in my own opinion, that many Christians probably haven't read the Bible start-to-finish but know of it quite well. The teachings that they follow are dictated by the denomination they follow, and--like anything else that is learned behavior--those lessons may or may not be followed depending upon the individual.
The tone of your questions is quite cynical and if I were to investigate what is truly your question on faith in general, I would go talk to a minister, priest or other church leader directly.
