Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get out of my baby phase? I have been wanting a baby for a while now but I know that I am not ready. Any suggestions? I really need to get it off my mind....

Babysitting is a really good idea. I babysat my best friend's newborn while she finished nursing school. I watched her 6-8 hours a day, 3 days a week. It was so much fun being with her and watching her learn and grow, but it was such a relief to walk out that door everyday back to my own life. Having that huge responsibility, even if it's for few hours a day, makes you realize what a hard job moms (and dads!) have...and it's 24/7!! It definetely got rid of my baby fever.

I think it will pass. I really believe it's just nature. I have two kids and am in no way ready for another one. But I get the urge to get pregnant all the time. Just ignore it and use protection any way until you know you can handle a baby

im the same way, i completely understand!! it depends on your age really and stuff, because if your not ready because of your age then you should just keep thinking of the baby, and how perfect it will be in the future to have a baby when your financially and romantically secure, you should concentrate on having fun in life, so when you do get your baby you will be ready to devote everything to him or her!! I hope this helps

just keep telling urself im not ready, think of all the downpionts
call a friend and go to the movies. just think: if u had a baby u'd spend most of the movie in the lobby trying to get ur baby to stop crying. then go shopping and think about how hard it would be to shop with a screaming toddler who wants to own the whole mall.

Babysit for someone. A baby would be best, but any age would probabally do! If the mom isn't there to take it when it is crying or dirty it might change your mind. Do it when your favorite show is on tv, and see how much you take that for
advantage!

Go out and get busy doing things you can do now that will not be so easy to do once you actually have kids! Go out whenever you want, go places you want to go that you've never been. Just have fun, and do things that you want to do. Work toward any goals that will be easier now without a child. Get some things accomplished now while you can.

You should get a puppy they are just like babies and they give you lots of love, there are so many abandoned ones out there. You should try a local shelter, I have four and I love them very much. Hope this helps!

Volunteer at a day care center or the ICU neonatal care center at a children's hospital. The intense amount of responsibility and work should cool your heels plenty. Good Luck!
