A Prophet, (OT) comes along and brings direct messages from God to the people, either of joy or doom.
So when I asked this question http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AlVaYHB1viz2gJ1hlw0FKmLsy6IX?qid=20061130083845AAXViFk
everyone pretty much said "NO"
So if you are not a Prophet of God, stop telling people they are going to hell, stop telling people they aren't good enough for God, stop telling people they need to be cast out.

Most do not say anything similar to that, but some do, and quite frankly it tires me.

I agree with you 100%. Except that I don't believe in "prophets".

Some do take the role of Prophet, maybe wrongly.
One thing I do is speak the religious line when asked.
If some person here says they are considering becoming sexually active, I will almost go to the point of you are going to hell, because there is a better than 60% chance that sexually active people with mutliple partners will eventually become pregant and not get married and go on welfare or will contract Herpes simplex, possibly AIDS, maybe crabs, maybe Ghonorreah and if they are alergic to Pennicilin they are goiong to end up rotting.
This is both Atheistic, Agnostic and Christian and Muslim view in one.
The MORE risks you take in life, the higher your chances are of dying before your time.
Now, you see, if you lived the way the Bible and Jesus and God says you stand a better chance of suriving all and not going down the tubes.
A REALLY good Christian girl will not even KISS her suitor until the marraige ceremony. She may make him wait 5 years or more for the marriage.
A lot of 15 year old Chrisitian girls pair up with boys from the church and don't get married until about 23 or 25, after they both get they BA and in SOME rare circumstances they've never even kissed on the mouth.
Those people TEND to stay together longer after marriage than some girl who Frenches at 9 pm, allows sex at midnight and says yes to his Marriage proposal the next morning.
I have known girls who have dated a guy for three weeks and move off to Germany with him, selling all they own and taking their kid with them. 3 WEEKS in a relationship.
By the way, she got pregant by him, they came back in less thna a year, he deserted her, never did anything for his baby with her and when she attached his house he threatend to kill her.
See what 3 weeks gets you!
She was all bug-eyed about he brand new $75,000 sports car he let her drive and his $25,000 water cooled motorcyle.
These are a look at VALUE SYSTEMS
Yeah many Christian marriage do fail, must MORE don't than with non-religious.
I'll be the first to admit that Hindus and Muslims have a better success rate in long term marriage than anyone else.
But those marriages are also based on FEMALE INFERIORITY and the ability of the man to discipline wife as well as kids.
So from a PROPHET stand point I feel very much on FIRM GROUND advocating ABSTANANCE and telling girls not to even kiss him for years. How many guys will stick around without even a little kiss!
YOur spineless PAgan Prophets tell the girl to jump out of her clothes and into a bed after known him for two days!
Makes me think a lot of GIRL avatars here are guys, using it for PEER value against girls!
If enough "girls" tell a girl DO IT, she eventually will.
Bunch of lemmings in this world of ours!

A prophet prophesies -- a believer in the Way shares their faith respectfully. If anyone tries to push it down your throat they are in the wrong. It is up to each individual to choose whether they believe Jesus is the son of the living God or not. Each person chooses what they will believe about Jesus Christ and since he is the only bridge humans have to God and heaven, the choice we make about what to do with Jesus Christ determines where we spend eternity. It's entirely your own choice -- it's up to you.

There is a BIG difference between being a prophet and a disciple. As disciples of Jesus, we are called to bring the world to salvation.

A prophet proclaims the word of the Lord.
Those who lie and do not speak truth, are under the curse of death.

Well I said yes. I only bring the message when it is asked for and then sometimes I don't. I can't explain what I meant by yes but was just lead to say that. Hope you don't think I am crazy. :-(

I've never told someone they are going to Hell.
I've told them what they must do to avoid Hell, though.
Whether they choose to listen or not is their choice.
