There are a couple of possible reasons. One is that your best friend may want to be your boyfriend, so he's not going to like anybody you date. The other is that you boyfriend might truly be a jerk. Before you break up, ask the best friend WHY he doesn't like the boyfriend.

This is probably not what you are looking for, but I would dump the boyfriend. Your best friend is usually in most cases trying to look out for you, and if your relationship is on and off with your bf, your friend is trying to protect you from getting hurt. Friends are forever, but boyfriends come and go.

no. you break up if you think it is good for YOU, not someone else, even a best friend. give each one its own time, and keep both relationship going. if they love you, they'll hve to figure out what to do.
