I vote sheep. They have their heads in the sand because they're encouraged to be that way. They pick and choose because they're told that's okay to support their views.
I've seen shows on Christian channels that call for Christians to give over their wills, to not think for themselves, but let Jesus do it all for them (guffaw). Yes they actually said that.
Once the sheep are told that they obey anything else their leaders want, which includes the other two options.

Christians are humans and a diverse group.
Any generalization is just an attempt to paint a group that you don't agree with in a negative light.
I don't try to paint all Atheist as sinful mean people that commit crimes because a few do.
I assure you that I am MUCH older than you, and have studied all faiths over the last 40 years. I did not become Catholic last year at my age because of my parents. I became Catholic afters a TON of study thought, and yes prayer in reflection of my years on earth and life experiences.
Catholics cannot "Pick and Chose" one thing I love about the faith. Like it or not, our beliefs are clear and in black and white.
I am not a "sheep" in your sense of the word, by most accounts, I am a successful, hard working, honest man who has chosen to follow Jesus and his Church.
But you are free to say what you wish about us if it makes you feel better.
This is NOT forcing religion to anyone but offering it to anyone. As far as evidence, there is a lot of evidence even today if you take the time to look. Google Eucharistic miracles, or Fatima or Guadalupe. Study before you bash, you might have a better argument or at least one that makes sense.
If you refuse to study Religion, how can you claim to not be EXACTALLY all three things that you claim Christians are????
1. A herd of sheep. (You blindly follow the crowd that is not faithfull)
2. Ostriches with their heads in the sand. (You refuse to listen to Religious people)
3. Folks at an all-you-can-eat buffet bar, going around picking and choosing what they want. (Nothing is more picking and Choosing your own wants than living for yourself and the moment)
I wonder how many thumbs down this will get!
Good luck and God Bless!

Well, I can really only tell you about my own experience. I'm not a theologian or anything, so I'm not sure how 'logical' or 'comparative' you will find it. But it's true. I was raised in a christain family (a missionary family, actually), so I new the Way--intellectually. But I was always a questioner. Like you, I wondered about other religions. When I went to college and decided to major in philosophy, my dad was worried that it would make me question my faith. I told him that a faith that can't survive questioning, isn't worth having. (He understood.) I studied so many philosophies and religions. I actually practiced Buddhism for a couple of years. But this is why I returned to the Way of Jesus: When I meditated for hours and hours and hours at a time, Buddha never responded to me with any sign or sense that I was on the right path. When I prayed, to God, at first it was the same thing, but as I really became more honest with God in my prayers, and acknowledged my deepest self (hopes, fears, dreams, loves, desires) ...he responded. Jesus responded. I hear his voice. I know it sounds really out there, but I hear him. I know he cares. And I know it's really cliche, but what can I say--it's true: I have an actual relationship with the one who created the universe. Some churches can be very helpful (and some are less so) in your quest. Philosophy may be helpful or unhelpful. I actually have learned quite a lot from reading the writings of different Rabbis. Jesus was a practicing Jew, and he didn't find his Way to be contradictory to the Law of Moses and the Prophets. I do know that there is no shortcut to being painfully honest with yourself and your God. I believe that anyone who honestly searches for relationship with God can find it. I'm not that special. If I can connect, then anyone can. I'm hoping the best for you.

I'd have to say most Christians are like most human beings: They can't wrap their minds around the fact that they don't know everything and it's entirely possible for them to be wrong.
I'm more sick of the blind faith idea than anythinge else. Christians say they can't explain their religion because God is a mystery, but then they turn around and act like they know everything because they say God is in their hearts, and if they have an opinion what He wants, its true. Notice you don't hear any debates on Harry Potter, D&D, Magic the gathering, The Davinci Code, Christian Rock ect, comming from anyone else. If they know everything, why does every single Christian have a different point of view on pretty much everything about their own religion?

I like the third one. I think that one does a good job of describing the homophobic ones -- the ones that use the Bible to justify their disapproval of homosexuality, even though they either don't know or disregard all the OTHER things that are "forbidden" or an "abomination" according to the Bible. Apparently those rules don't apply anymore... but the "no to homosexuals" rule does. Nice logic.

Sooooo, how do you define your words 'xians who try to force their religion on everyone' ?
This simple-minded over-used excuse has baffled me and other Christians . Is 'talking' about Christianity, equal to 'forcing' ?
And wouldn't an 'intelligent' person expect to see questions and answers about Jesus, on the 'Religion and Spirituality' site ?
All encompassing analogies are exactly what racism is all about .
Take a good long look at the word 'intelligent'. Clearly anyone of even 'moderate' intelligence would expect that .
Thank you and God Bless.

# 4 is the answer. Why are you a Bigot against Christians? No one is forcing anything on you. If you were not here posting hate questions no one would be knocking on your door trying to convert you to anything. Go to the mall.

I prefer the sheep one. That is what Christ called us. Except He didn't mean it ina derogatory manner. I do realize that SOME christian don't know what they believe but that is true of other people as well. I correct myself they know what they believe they just don't know why. I don't believe in blind faith but I do believe in understand what you can and learning about you belief system so you can be informed and try to answer questions the best you can.

Oh, definitely "herd of sheep". There's plenty of great biblical reference to that ("The Lord is my Shepherd"....Christ, "the Good Shepherd.." - the parable of the lost sheep, etc.)
Yes...we absolutely prefer that one!!
Please, go with that one...
But the Buffet-bar one, unfortunately, comes mighty close!!
