I would say that non-heated rollers would be the best way to curl hair as it will not cause heat damage to hair that curling irons and heated rollers, also by hair will also dry into shape to cause longer lasting curls.

The best & safest way to set your hair is exactly like that, when its damp, everybody is does it that way not only older people, I prefer to do mines that way as well, I think hot rollers and curling irons damage your hair after a while, you have to monitor how often you use heat in your hair, to be on the safe side.

I do it because wet sets holds the curls much better and the hair dries with a shine and has extra body . I prefer wet set anytime.

The younger females just don't know how bad their hair will end up using heated appliance plus they use a holding spray while curling their hair, so that's twice the damage.

It is less damaging then hot rollers. Our "older" generations have set there hair this way for years!!! The curl usually lasts longer as well.
