they've probably been wrecked. look closely, measure the gaps in the body panels, ask a lot of questions. come back a week later and ask the same questions...see if you get the same answers.

I would not be so sure they are Katrina cars, as they are older and not worth a lot of money. No one would take the time or pay the money to have them repaired.

It would appear they are just loss leaders designed to get you in the door.

And they are all also basically throw away cars that will have major mechanical problems. I would be surprised if the Neon even ran. The Sable probably has a leaky head gasket. The Camaro is probably a wheezy V6 that burns oil, the Escort was a mediocre car that Ford did not redesign or update in nearly 8+ years. Chances are these cars were driven hard and traded in when the owners knew a major repair was due.

If you should swoop in and buy them, you may need to look into a dealers license in your state. You will also run into some problems with your auto insurance as they do not usually like to cover cars bought for resale.

They are loss leaders to get you in the door and I am sure they are junkers you would really never want to buy. Once you are there I am sure they will have a large supply of higher priced Cream Puffs for you take out a loan on and drive away upside down.
