Is this true?

I think it was Sonny Barger of the Hells Angels who originally said this.

OK as an example the Police in the channel islands during WWII handed jews over to the Gestapo and collaborated as did the French and many of the other invaded countries, if the Nazis had made it to Britain our police would have done the same?

Wow, something that Rob Roy isn't an expert on. You are just about as dumb as string. I guess the schools in Scotland must not cover what we call "The War of 1812," I don't know what the English call it. I assume in Scotland they call it "The war in the place that we were sent to do England's bidding (again) in 1812-1814." Your English masters did manage to burn our capitol down, but we still b1tch slapped you.

Why do you love Belgians so much? Why did you edit that entry? I was going to snidely quote your derisive comment about learning history back to you.

I am assuming you are young & impressionable. And Sonny was probably on drugs, or not.

I believe that is true only with some revolutions, which are "invasions" from within. Let me add that while some cops in Iraq did in the Persian Gulf War, the primary police agencies did not.

Certainly not true on a more local level. When the Hell's Angels used to invade cities, the cops most definitely were not on the Invaders side. .

I do not think that the sympathies of the police of an occupied state are necessarily with the occupiers but as the existing structures are normally taken over, it appears that the police are siding with the invaders. The same could have been said of any group of public employees, it is just that the police have a high public profile.
When the Japanese surrendered to the British in Burma, many immediately had their weapons returned and were deployed fighting the Communist guerrillas that had previously helped the British.

it really is fairly frankly no longer attainable to component "each and every invasion" that has ever exceeded off via be conscious reduce imposed by Yahoo solutions and that no longer one human being is going to earnings about each and every thing. although, you've made one substantial incorrect assumption. You assume that an invasion finally ends up contained in the destruction of the previous lifestyle. usually, invasions outcome contained in the invaders integrating with the triumphing lifestyle. as an get mutually, it became once believed that the Anglo-Saxons surely wiped out the pre-contemporary British inhabitants and moved in. it really is now properly-known that they did little or no contained in the way of genocide and really toppled the elite and merged with the triumphing inhabitants. Likewise even as the Vikings arrived and later the Normans.

Yes, little doubt. There is a thing about (most) authoirity, be it a copper on the beat or some great grand daughter of Eva Braun behind the counter at the tax office orlocal council offices, who have little power but crave more.

With that power, these small mindeed cretins would become little snoop pen troopers.

well, some guy on Zoolander said that every major political assassination has been done by a male model...not exactly true. let's just put this way...the police did not support Germany during WWII. Sure, the GERMAN police did, but the police in every otehr country did not.

When America was invaded by the British, many of the police sided with the insurgents.
