Both have allot of alcohol. Which is damaging in itself. It depends on how much of each you use. I don't like mousse because it leaves my hair feeling stiff or sticky. I prefer hair spray, I buy Sebastian and its light even though it holds all day. I can still comb threw it and it doesn't get or look stiff or sticky.

Depending on what your doing with either. They both contain alcohol, which does dry out the hair. However, if you apply mousse in while your hair is wet and blow dry and curl the hair with it in your hair already - I'd say that is more damaging as the alcohol in your hair will help dry it out even more. Hairspray is the last thing one does in finishing their hair, therefore it can't be any worse that what's already in the hair. I'd say mousse. Hairspray just coats the hair and can be washed out - mousse when used with heat can be damaging.

I felt mousse was more easier on the hair. Hairspray makes it stiff

If your not use to doing your hair that offen I would ask a hair styliest that but I believe that hair spray would be more damaging to your hair than mousse. So be carefull when you decide what your going to do about your hair

um i use both personally i LOVE mousse because it makes it curlier but the hair spray holds it Hair spray doesn't do ANYTHING but hold or lock in the curls but the mousse holds as well but makes it curlier....
Mousse is less damaging because it isn't as sticky therefore it doesn't dry out as much

it really depends. whenever you bye the product check the label and the one with more alcohal in it will damage your hair more
