I was watching the 700 Club this morning (Pat Robertson cracks me up with his anti-feminist, homophobic, anti-Islamic comments. He is so arrogant!!!), and Bill O'Reilly was on it talking about the Cultural Wars. So I was wondering, what do you all think of the concept of the Culture Wars?

It comes on 9 AM on ABC Family every morning, and I was just flipping through the channels. I personally disagree with just about everything Pat Robertson says, but its hilarious how arrogant and ignorant he is.

Here's my stance on it. We are deadlocked in a war over whether we will give up our founding principles of Liberty and Sepaeration of Church and State to become another theocracy based upon the morals of the country's dominant religion.

I am on the side of Freedom, Liberty, and the seperation of Church and state.

Which side are you on?

The label these people have put on the phenomena that is happening in the US and also the world 'culture wars' is as good a label as any. As the population increases and different ideologies collide, a clash will occur. A true victory concerning this state of affairs would be peaceful co-existence but I can't say that will occur any time soon.

The way these men, Robertson and O'Reilly, present their viewpoint of the world is ethno-centric and appalling. These guys are dinosaurs and you know what happened to them.

Right-wingers declared it, and for the most part they seem to be the only ones fighting it. The rest of us are busy living our lives, but in ways that drive them carzy. Hence the war. I urge them to LAY DOWN YOUR ARMS! It's all a matter of people being free to lvie their own lives, and that's something they need to put up with if freedom is more than an empty word to them.

I've never read the book, but O'Reilly wrote it so it's probably a load of crap.
