Jehovah's Witnesses tend to be very good. Single, widowed, and properly divorced persons among them decide for themselves if and whome they will date.

Generally, a Jehovah's Witness will only date a member of his faith, since dating is viewed as a path to marriage. The Scriptures clearly instruct a true worshipper to marry only another true worshipper.

(Exodus 23:32) You are not to conclude a [marriage or other] covenant with them or their gods.

(Deuteronomy 7:3) And you must form no marriage alliance with [unbelievers]. Your daughter you must not give to his son, and his daughter you must not take for your son.

(1 Corinthians 7:39) She is free to be married to whom she wants, only in the Lord.

(Nehemiah 13:25) You should not give your daughters to [the unbeliever's] sons, and you should not accept any of their daughters for your sons or yourselves.

(2 Corinthians 6:14) Do not become unevenly yoked with unbelievers.

The Scriptures also warn against elevating human desires above godly teachings.

(2 Thessalonians 2:1-3) We request of you not to be quickly shaken from your reason... Let no one seduce you in any manner

(Romans 16:17-18) Keep your eye on those who cause ... stumbling contrary to the teaching that you have learned, and avoid them. ...by smooth talk and complimentary speech they seduce the hearts of guileless ones.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled... You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

I posted this on your other question; it helps ones understand our beliefs and the Bible's reasons for these:

http://www.watchtower.org/e/jt/index.htm

If you go to the third item in the Table of Contents on the left, "What Do They Believe?" and scroll down, you'll find a list of our basic beliefs and the Scriptural sources for these.

ADDED: Ace, next post after mine, said that we only believe 144,000 are going to heaven. TRUE. He also said we believe the rest are worm meat: FALSE. We believe Jesus' words at Matthew 5:5:
"Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth."

See also Proverbs 2:21, 22; Psalm 37:9-11, 29.

The bible does say that you must be with someone who is of Christ and his principles.

Now this is my opinion, because I do not believe that Jehoviah's Witness are, in the literal sense, Christians. They follow a doctorine that is way out there (only 144,000 are going to heaven and the rest are worm meat). But if you are not a Jehoviah's Witness, you may not be compatible.

All religions reject certain people. Just realize that religion should not play a part in who you love.

they reject the fact that Jesus Christ is God so they are the antichrist. Yes, they're bad because they are duped into believing a religion that sees Jesus Christ and Satan as equal. They believe Jesus Christ is a mere creation like the devil. They don't believe in the basic tenets of Christianity, yet, they go around calling themselves Christians to dupe those who don't know the Bible.
I would be careful he was just not dating you to try to convert you into their cult. FYI-- Christians frown on dating someone to convert just to try and convert them to Christianity. It's a no-no.

Um, you ought to first specify which religion you are--because that determines what you're actually asking here.

Anyway, I honestly don't believe there's anything wrong with dating a person of differing beliefs, regardless of what yours are.
