Since it is reported to be an Angel who is guarding the entrance of Eden with the flaming sword, one could assume that "God" made it.

What makes you think that God did not create the flaming sword? Why would Adam put a sword at the entrance of the garden to keep himself out?The bible says that after God expelled Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden; He, (God), placed the flaming sword at the entrance.

The sword of the Spirit and the Sword of man are completely different.
The sword of man: Cuts flesh and causes bleeding.
The Sword of the Spirit: HEB 4:12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
GOD's WORD is the flaming Sword which keeps mankind out of the garden.!!

Yea no offense to the Yahoo! community, but God is the source of all things in this universe, from Black holes to Black people, Butterflies to booty shorts, guns to germs. God either makes things happen, or allows them to happen. He gave a man the idea to make the sword and another to make a gun, but he also gave us free will to choose to use these things as we please. And the point of the flaming sword thing is that no one's going to get in there, not necessarily who made it.
