Depending on what color your hair is, the simplest thing to do is go get the blonding shampoo and conditioner by John Frieda. He also has one for reds, one for brunettes and I believe one for black hair as well. These shampoos and conditioners revive and give your hair a healthy shine to your color. Typically, I always tell people (I used to be a hair stylist) to get their hair colored two weeks before any major event. It gives the color a chance to calm down and be about perfect in that 2 weeks time. It is about right to get one's hair re-colored every 6-8 weeks anyway. My hair grows fast and I do mine every 5 week, as I already have an inch and a half of regrowth by then. Good luck!

There are many natural methods you could try. For instance, lemon juice lightens hair while brewed coffee or tea will add brown highlights. To use the coffee or tea you would brew a very strong batch of coffee and let it cool. After you wash your hair normally you can use the coffee as a rinse. One method I use to condition my hair (med. brown) is mix 1 tablespoon of honey with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. They say to use an egg in the mixture but I can't handle the feel of it. I use this on my hair and leave it for an hour.

Get a wash in wash out dye or one of those ones that last 8 washes, they will give u an all over fresh colour look, great conditioning and they are only a couple of pounds and not permenant, or buy loads of hair accessorys and have different styles draw the attention away from your roots. hope it helps hun x paris

Maybe you touch up the roots by buying a similar color on your hair now. It's probably best to go to beauty supply store and ask advice from them. I know Sally's Beauty Supply has touch up kits.

Go to your SALLY's hair products or similar store...you can buy a root cover up! choose your shade and apply, it washes out, but will carry your color a bit until you are ready .

buy one of those temporary hair dyes, theyre really awesome, and dont dye your forehead or ears like permanent. theyll last through 28 shampoos, i did mine a few weeks ago, and though the color has lightened, it doesnt show any roots, and still looks shiny and nice. thats my best advice :) i used clairol natural instincts.

Stop by a beauty supply (like Sally's). I use a Gloss. you apply it like home color, but it doesn't have much pigment, just shine! Good Luck!
