The Arch Bishop flaunts apostolic authority on one hand and on the other he denies it with his druidic membership. Is he or is he not a member of the Gorsedd of Bards?

After college, he joined a society (sort of like the Masons) that has taken some Druidic imagery for their title...but it's just a literary society. Many "upper crust" Brits are members of such societies.

I am no fan of ABC Rowan Williams, but I can assure you that he is NOT a "druid"

"In what way has God ever shared his authority with a pagan religion?"

This question above simply reveals your complete ignorance of Pagan religions.

Pagans don't recognize, for the most part, or worship the "God" you're talking about.

Why would the referee of a football game share his authority with tennis players?

But we have some lovely parting gifts for you.

Not in the religious sense, no.

While most uses of the term 'Druid' are in reference to neo-Pagan religious groups, there are a few other uses (such as social/fraternal, and cultural), mostly popular in the UK. The Archbishop is a member of (IIRC) one of the cultural groups, and distinctly denies any association with any of the religous varieties.
