Been through this myself. Be careful. Even though you may feel they are not dangerous, protect yourself. What I mean is let others know if you are meeting this person and ask him a few questions, to answer before the meeting. I went through this 9 years ago, my family freaked out when they heard I was meeting someone I met online. I got his car make, license plate#, phone number and physical address and gave it to my family before I left. We met in a neutral territory and I had two of my friends with me. Eventually we were alone, but I took many precautions first. Guess what, ended up being my husband down the road and we now have been married 8 years! They don't all work out like that, I'm well aware, but just be cautious...if he doesn't like your questions, just tell him you are protecting yourself. He'll give in if he has nothing to hide (he could lie too, but you should be able to tell). If he refuses...than he doesn't really respect you and probably just wants to have a physical relationship with no strings attached. I've seen that happened to friends who have gone on to meet them anyway, and the guys never calls them again after their first meeting. Be careful, but I'll keep my fingers crossed that it'll work out wonderfully for you!

I would say that you should go with your gut, but also step back for a moment and consider a few things.

What makes you attracted to this guy? Did he contact you or vice-versa? Are you in a stable point in your life? Why are you seeking a relationship with someone that you met online?

After evaluating your motivations for wanting to meet this person I would also suggest doing a little research on his background. have you both exchanged real names and addresses and phone numbers? If, so I would perform a background check before meeting him.

Now, most Web-based services allow you to search not only by a name, but person's address and phone number. These people search services also allow you to run a nationwide criminal check on the person you search for.

I would take some time if it were me. Reason being......just to be careful. You can never tell what you're getting into. If he really desires a relationship with you, he'll have the patience to wait. Be careful. Don't go meet him. Have him come to where you are. Hope this helps.

Sure meet, plan to meet in public for one dinner and then thats it. If you meet and he is not the "one", after dinner--leave. Thats what you agreed to. If he is the "one", then invite him to have a drink at the local pub.

Hell no, r u crazy that's how girls get raped and killed. Do your whole family a favor by not risking your life just because you think you know someone. Research how women like you who meet internet dates in person, and find that most of them never returned. Please dont risk your life.

I wouldn't.

There are many cases of people looking all nice and amazing but not being so nice and amazing in person. If he needs the internet to find dates...I mean if hes really a guy....idk. I wouldn't.
