Lack of communication and responsibility in a relationship is a serious problem if you both want it to continue. You could try to sit down and talk to him about how you feel about this, admit the things that you've done wrong and apologize for them, and let him know that there are things he does that are wrong and you won't take the blame for everything, Sorry means alot when you truly know and acknowledge what you did wrong to the other. It helps with solutions and understanding each other. I hope it works out for you and if he still refuses to take any action to take responsibility for your and his relationship, maybe you should think about how serious he feels it is? Anyway G'luck!

If you go around telling people a different story, it would be airing your dirty linen in public and people will not differentiate who is the fool. I am of the opinion that let him go saying that if it makes him feel better and if people asks you about it just laugh at it. This way people will start doubting his word and figure out the truth eventually. Beside the two of you are no longer together so move on with your life.

There are three versions to every story. Yours, His, and the truth. Especially with men they have trouble admitting to what they did or wanting to see what they did wrong. it's easier to amke you the villain. Especially when telling others why the realtionship failed.
Who have you ever heard say "It was all my fault". You know what happened. I suspect you care because you still have feelings involved. If the relationship is really over I suggest you let it go and just know that you know what really happened.

If he cannot come to grips with what he did wrong in the relationship then it is better that you not be with him, but know in your heart and mind that you are an honest person and can admit your mistakes. He can't and that makes him a coward and not worth being with at all he is not a "real" man.

Been there experienced this. I use to be out of my head in emotional pain thinking how this man could say things he did about me when they were so untrue. I could not believe how he would twist and turn things making everything my fault when in all honesty it was him. One I found he was a drunk. That explained a lot. I am not a young person either so believe me it was not me being young. Finally I concluded that all these lies manipulation of truth etc were his short comings and his to own. It matters not what they say, we know what the truth is. Lift you head up dust yourself off close this chapter and move forward. Ignore his words because it is his self lack of worth respect that leads him to this attempt of distruction of you.

You cannot control anyone but yourself. Be glad you're rid of him and when the opportunity presents itself let people know your "side" of relationship. Begin it with.."Now that you know HIS side, do you want to know what REALLY happened"?
Don't worry about it much. The people who are important will know he's putting his own slant on things. And as long as there is more than 1 person in a relationship, there will be more than 1 "perception" of events.

Everybody has their own opinion and point of views. If you're clear about what happened, you shouldn't let what was said upset you. Truth will always finds its way to the people. Move on, my dear!

Know that saying......there are 3 sides to the story. Yours, his, and the truth. You will just have to accept the fact that he will never "get it"! Don't feel weird about it.
