Why would God invent a weapon of war or were swords intended for peaceful things, like slicing apples?

They were originally intended as enemas until people discovered they hurt.

It's interesting that we like to think of God as making only "good" things. And man as the creator of all things evil.
This comes from the belief that there is a seperation between God and man, that man is inherently evil- because of Eve biting the apple- the fall from grace.
I believe it's all in how you look at things- that what you believe can change depending upon how you look at things and through what belief system.
I believe we (humans) are all co-creating everything here on this planet along with higher consciousness that governs this planet, and on a grander scale, the universe in which we live.
We are the cells that make up God- we have the power of creation,
we are God's in-formation.
so from that perspective both humans and God are responsible for everything- what we choose to call the good or the bad.

God did not make weapons such as swords or any other weapon. The sword that is mentioned in the bible relates to the spiritual. The SWORD, is the word of God. The Holy Bible.

God didnt invent the sword, it says no where in the bible, that he did. The word sword is found in the bible however, I suggest you read a little more into in. Jesus died on the cross for our sins, so we would be forgiven, and be able to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, have everlasting life, and enjoy our lives today to the fullest, if thats something you would like, please open your Bible and dicover his living word

You need to read the Bible. God created man and gave him a free will and He disobeyed God and became a sinner and because of that all men are sinners. Romans 5: 12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: God didn't invented way for man to kill each other man did because he has a sin nature. God made away for all men to get forgiveness of their sins. The Lord Jesus Christ became a man so He could die on the cross for the sins of the world if only they would believe and trust in Him. If you reject that payment for your sins then you send yourself to hell. John 3: 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

I don't remember hearing that He/She invented the sword. I thought that was Ug's invention, back when he needed something to cut meat off mamouth bones, then he just made it longer to keep Og from stealing the meat.

you don't need a gun to kill someone.. you can do it with your hands... human invented a gun to make it easier... so Guns are for killing, and killing is a SIN..
thus, not everything is invention of God, some things are created by Evil... the whole lie is the continuos fight between God and Evil within each and everyone.

To be honest God gives us ideas to make things they can either be used for good or bad its our choice. A gun can be used to hunt animals for food or to kill people. Atomic materials can either be used to make power or bombs to kill people.
I guess God creating thing for purposes to make things happen events. Just how far human take these events, how extreme they go.
I don't think there is a definitive answer as how can any human fathom why God truly does thing and his plan. All I know is Jesus pwn so much and he is 31337.

God invented free will and creativity. How many uses those says more about us than it does Him.
