Are you for real? Why do you ask anyway? If anyone wanted to go to Heaven and be saved He couldnt duhh didnt you see the move or ever read the story. IF not maybe you should. Your the only one that probably doesnt know that.

Because Jesus was trying to as Allah(god) for forgiveness on behalf of the entire hman race. He said he would carry the burden of the sins of the human race, pass through all the pain and torture just so that god would forgive the human race for all their sins.

God didn't "escape" because He was fulfilling God's plan. His sacrifice on the cross is atonement for our sin. This was prophecized hundred of years before Christ was even born in Isaiah 53.

one he didn't have a jet pack but the other reason Jesus said "do you think I would have this cup removed from me?" Jesus died to full fill a promise and to wash away sins. He knew that he was supposed to die.
