Good question!
Here is the purpose for why Jesus told His disciples to gather together in Jerusalem after He ascended back to the right hand of Father GOD. . . .
Jesus talking . . .
And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
48 And ye are witnesses of these things.
49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
Baptism of the Holy Spirit is the Father's promise to believers to clothe them in power to DO verse 47 above.
AGAIN JESUS SAID
8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

Holy Spirit baptism is not the baptism of the great commission (Mark 16:16, Matthew 28:18-20). In fact Holy Spirit baptism was never a commandment, but a promise to a select group of people. The great commission baptism, on the other hand was to be taught unto the whole world.
To define "Holy Spirit baptism", let's first just define "baptism".
"Baptism" comes from a Greek word that means to immerse. When one is baptized in water, he is totally engulfed in the water. Baptism is an overwhelming.
So Holy Spirit baptism was a miraculous overwhelming of the Holy Spirit. Jesus promised this would come upon the apostles not many days after the promise was made (Acts 1:5). In Acts 2:1-4, we see this was accomplished.
Again, the baptism we follow today to obey the cammand of Jesus in the great commission is not the Holy Spirit baptism. It is a baptism in water (Acts 8:36-38, Acts 10:47, 1 Peter 3:20-21)
Ephesians 4:5 declares that there is now only "one baptism". Just like there is only "one God" and "One Lord", there is not more than one baptism. This verse does not leave room for both water baptism and Holy Spirit baptism both to be practiced today. Since the New Testament shows water baptism to be the baptism that was commanded and practiced, that must now be the "one baptism"!
One last difference, water baptism is accomplished by the action of men. Holy Spirit baptism was accomplished by God. God was the one who did that baptism.

This is a ceremonial invocation of the Holy Spirit (Spirit of God) to bless and take control of the body and renounce satan (with faithful permission) and to guide this person all through life towards back to the Almighty Father.
The baptism of Spirit with the 12 Apostle and Mother Mary (at Pentecoast) was a "promised" by Jesus Christ after death since He will be back to The Father. The coming of Gods Spirit to them is to shower them peace, strength, absolute truth of Jesus mission, no fear, and have their loyalty in serving God if it takes to offer their lives for the mission like Jesus.

When a person get saved. They are filled with the Holy Spirit. You can not get more of the Holy Spirit. But you can let the Holy Spirit have more control of you and the life you live. The more you let the Spirit of God control you. The more it will shine for others. You see, we can hinder the Holy Spirit by not letting it control our life. The closer we walk to God the more the spirit will work Thur us.
Baptism in the Holy Spirit means:
We surrender our life to God. Is our glass full of water our half full. But, it full or half full. Its is still the Holy Spirit.
Just how full of the Holy Spirit do you want. And how much to you want God to control our life.

Baptism is both a physical and spiritual concept. The Bible says you must be born of water and the spirit. Therefore, when you are baptized correctly, the Holy Spirit comes upon you. You have the Lord inside you at all times, because you are in constant communion with him (as long as you stay faithful).

Its a gift that Pentecostals seek after salvation and baptism. The Holy Spirit envelopes a person and they fell wonderful and begin to speak in tongues.

Many assume that this refers to speaking in tongue only and believe that Babbling is speaking in tongue. It is clear what happened at Pentecost that the disciples spoke in different languages that they did not have knowledge of, remember it says that the Jews visiting Jerusalem were from different countries and spoke different languages too. See link for more on this. The point is that Jesus told us to; Matthew 28:19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

It's when you allow yourself to be filled with the Holy Spirit. I was filled with the Holy Spirit with the gift/evidence of tongues. It's an awesome feeling.
