Check to make sure that it doesn't have any obstuction. Other than that, I think your puppy finally feels at home and is comfortable in his/her environment and can now sleep deeply. I just a adopted a hound dog at the age of 6 months and she just started snoring a couple of weeks ago. We have had her for 2months. I think that your puppy is getting used to the sounds and doesn't feel the need to inspect every little noise. You will probably notice that the puppy will start sleeping more too.

What type of dog do you have? Pugs and other dogs with noses that look "squished" tend to have snoring issues in general. One way that other dogs with "regular" noses can stop snoring is a well supported bed and by putting them on their sides. Some the dogs I see at my dog daycare close off part of their breathing by laying their head and neck on the feet causing them to snore. Also, allergies can make their snoring worse! But these are just observation from seeing many different snoring dogs! I'm not a vet!

I have a 3 yr.old Male Jack Russell and a female 8 yr. old both rescued. The male will sleep and snore. I can't stand adult snoring (it will wake me up immediately for some reason.) It's really cute and I will always cover him up with his favorite blanket. Good question!

have found so far three reasons why dogs snore
1. They have their throats/noses resting on something and restricting breathing
2. They are overweight
3. Pregnancy!
but also if none of these follow to your dog it could be just normal for him/her to snore

My dog Ginger snored her whole life, til she died at 11. Just like people, some snore, some don't.

My dog snores but the vet said it is normal. Sometimes the snore is accompanied by some sort of shiver/shaking. If such is the case, I normally wake my dog up just to avoid any choking from happening.

Get yourself a pair of ear plugs. Ive had heaps of dogs that snored, I usually keep them outside at night or in the laundry if its cold.

Well, it's natural. Really there is nothing you can do about it. It's just like a person, they have corrective surgeries for both humans and dogs, but chances are, it won't be a long term fix.
Good Luck! :o)

your pup is probably ok. If he is a dog with a smashed face (Shih Tzu, Pug, etc.) this is VERY normal. some just snore, you'll just have to let him sleep in another room!

I have a 6 yr old lab and he snores bad. I just pinch his nose a little, enough to wake him up and he moves. Trust me, I know how you feel.
