My Patagonian Conure is so loud she won't shut up, tried the usual things like a cover on till she is quiet, any more ideas

The patagonian Conure is well known as the noisiest of all the conures and one of the most playful of the small parrots.
The only way is to ignore her until she is quiet then reward her.
If you react in any way to the screaming you just reinforce the behavior.

Patagonian conures are very loud. All the books and websites mention this so how come you did the research and expected anything different?
I keep patagonians and adore them but then I like all of my noisy conures. If you are simply leaving her with the cover on for most of the time, then please rehome her before she starts to mutilate. There is no such thing as a quiet patagonian.

I have a conure and incountered the same problems. After much research and trial and error, I found
1. do not reward negitive buy giving attention to the screaming, give attention when he is quiet.
2. When he starts acting up move him to a quiet room. I take mine with cage and all to the den and close the door for and leave him for 10 to 15 minutes.
these have worked wonders for me. Good Luck!

Is she asking for more attention? Sometimes they call for their flock. YOU are her flock! cal you give her more attention? My conures yell in the AM, & one doesn't like being coverd up & I play around with him, but he will squawk then. The baby conure I have calls for us to be near her! She has different sounds for different things, & she stops it when we come get her & play.

it is going to take awhile yet at last she would be waiting to discover ways to settle for you yet will continually like adult males terrific. Having your fiance persistently handing her to you will help velocity the approach
