Please let me know which cruise line and where they leave from. No one way trips, trying to avoid an 11 hour flight.

Holland-America, Princess, Celebrity, NCL, & Royal Caribbean all do sailings to Hawaii, but you will need to check as to exactly who does the roundtrip cruises and the dates. NCL is the only line I know of that offers regular round-trips. The cruises begin in a variety of ports along the west coast and usually run 10-15 days. However, you should be prepared as a trans-Pacific cruise will be cool - cold and windy on deck until you are almost in Hawaii and also a bit rough. Keep in mind this is the majority of your time on board this ship as on such a cruise the ship will only spend 3-4 days in the Hawaiian islands. I'd go for the 11 hour flight then do a 7 day cruise around Hawaii. It'll be a much nicer vacation. Eleven hours is not that bad. I've flown to Europe (12 hrs), Russia (18 hrs), the Far East (26 hrs) and Africa (24 hrs) - and in coach.

The answer to your question is: ABSOLUTELY - and the bonus here is that its on my favorite cruise line - Celebrity!

Celebrity offers one-way Hawaii cruises where you spend 5 days "at-sea" sailing to Hawaii, then-7 days cruising the islands.

Princess also does one-way cruises, but only to a few islands and only when they "reposition" one of their ships to the South Pacific.

NCL cruises only in/around the islands - staying in Hawaii the entire time.

Other cruise lines do 12-14 day round trips, leaving from and returning to North America.

Finally, the absolute best advice I can give you is not to use a travel website, but to talk to a good travel agent. Tell him/her what your needs are, and that "you are looking for the best deal".

There is no additional cost or hidden fees for their services and you'll have a name and a face to speak to, rather than merely inputting your name, address and credit card into an on-line form and hoping for the best! Personal service is everything.

Remember - planning the trip is a lot of the fun of travel.

Bon voyage

The shortest cruise I truly have considered from mainland to Hawaii is 9 days on superstar from Ensenada. It excursions neighbor islands earlier ending in HNL. you've to fly decrease back because the deliver will proceed on in the direction of Australia. maximum are the 14 day round journeys yet that isn't any longer what you want. in case you want one purely OF the islands fairly than from Calif., there are weekly 7 day cruises on Norwegian Cruise Line from HNL around the islands and reduce back to HNL. P and O ( a British cruise line) does one from San Francisco to Hawaii, persevering with on to the South Pacific yet i'm no longer constructive what percentage nights they e book for the first leg. properly worth checking perchance?

Generally Celebrity and Princess leaves from Los Angeles, but they are generally 10 to 14 days of vacation. In Hawaii, Norwegian travels for 7 days
