it is good to have hot teas, and hot choclates, because the warmness of it makes your muscles loosen. when they loosen you dont get as many cramps and you back will hurt less. and eating things like lettuce will give you shorter happerier periods and it helps keep you regular so it is easier to predict when the next one will come

While I don't have to deal with this issue often, my middle-aged counselor gave me some advice years ago. She drinks a Pepsi and takes an Advil or Midol. Something about getting the blood flowing AWAY from the troubled area, and something about the blood vessels open more and don't constrict.

Whether she's right or wrong, it did work and Midol never used to!

Herbal teas w/chamomile are wonderful while your "friend" visits. However, watch the chocolate since it contains caffeine and that makes cramps much worse. Warm stuff is usually the ticket for me.

Peppermint tea, chocolate (any!), and beans and rice.
(not all at the same time, though!)

I really want to go home to my mom & dad's and stay in my old room! It's a guest bedroom now but my mom and dad are awesome cooks and my mom will pamper me. My dad will set up the TV in there for me too.... but that's just a dream, since I have kids and a boyfriend to take care of!

My comfort food is cheesecake... no matter how bad I'm feeling, it just seems to go away... that and I like green and white tea fusion, or this Yogi tea I just discovered, it's organic and caffiene free and some of the flavors taste like dirt but the vanilla hazelnut is dreamy.

I just go about my life and don't think about anything other than changing my tampon often. I NEVEr get cramps, its always easy, I'm glad I don't get them, maybe because I eat right and drink a lot of water. If you don't want to get sick, just eat foods that contain iron, you're iron drops when you lose all of that blood so the consumption of iron will help you.

i used to drink an herbal tea called PMS tea and it really helped.

another i used to do is hot greentea or any hot tea for that matter. it always had to be hot to get the cramps to relax.

i have had a complete hysterectomy though due to precancerous cells. good ole family genes you know.
