I want to make cheese spread for sandwiches, but I don't have a food grinder. What can I do? Do you think I could just grate the cheese? I think cheese spread is supposed to be smooth, so will this make the cheese pieces too large...Help!!!

If it's a soft cheese, I think you could try melt it if you're making a spread.

put it in the microwave on defrost and check it so that it does not get too melted just soft enough to use a fork on

well it sounds like you are going to cook it so using a grater should be okay i usually just cut mine into chuncks for melting.
