not necessarily the process, but you may allergic to the chemicals/products they use in the wax/waxing strips or the moisturiser used after.

If its your first time getting your back waxed then it will probably pass, if not see your doc. To relieve the itching for now get some witch hazel gel, calms & soothes and stops the itching!

Waxing is not dangerous. If your itching really bad (and a substantial amt of time has gone by) you might be having an allergic reaction to something that is in the wax. I have an allergy to almonds, when I go to get waxed I have to make sure that the person waxing me isnt using an almond oil based wax. If you go to a good waxing person they will usually put a lidocane cream or other type of anti-itch crean on you after you get waxed in order to prevent any sting. If you need an anti-itch cream for your skin, I suggest going to the local drug store and picking up a tube of Benadryl cream or Cortisone cream

The only part that is dangerous is waxing a mans bits. When i went to the salon yesterday the woman said that its worse for a man than a woman as the skin is a lot thinner and more sensitive nd it can take the skin off in patches! but your back should be fine.
it will take about 48 hours for your back to stop feeling sorry for itself and then you are going to need to exfoliate with a body scrub and a body brush or something along those lines to stop the hairs ingrowing.
And before anyone asks I am a woman so i have no experience of testicle waxing personally!

It certainly sounds as if you have sensitive skin that objects to being waxed, and many men have this problem.

I think things will settle with time as it sounds as if you are simply suffering from a reaction to the hair follicles being pulled out rather than an infection - it is a little early for this to happen.

However, if you develop large spots that are red, painful and have a large whitish head then infection may be present and you should see your doctor or practice nurse for an opinion.

Within two to three days of waxing, these symptoms should have settled, and an antihistamine cream or tablet sometimes helps in these cases.

No waxing is not dangerous but it hurts(I should know).
But you get used to it.
You might be allergic to the wax that your using.
To se if your allergic you should first put a sample on one part of your body.
In 24hrs see if there's any reaction's.....if there is your allergic then stop using that wax.

Another thing you can try is a an ear candle. They are available at helth food places and GNC.. its an age old rememdy but it really does work. itching in the ear can be either dry skin, or from loose ear wax.. if you find that you are finding flaky skin in there then you need some drops. there are drops that you can put in to your ear to help moisturize the ear canal. Check with your doc though it might be a sign of sebhoria, or psorisas

No, you just need a decent moisturiser, like Vaseline intensive care with aloe Vera.

its not dangerous but you do need to keep it moisturised. also if you have sensitive skin it may not like being waxed . . . wait and see how it reacts. also try not to have really hot showers/bath.
