He said himself that he is God's son and that the father is greater than he is. He also said that no one has seen the father at any time. He said that he was a mediator between God and man. He said that he didn't know things that only his father knew. He said many more things that teach us that they are two separate life forms. This contradicts the definition of The Holy Tinity by the catholic church, after all they are the ones that invented this term and its definition and doctrine. It is never mentioned in the bible.

emmapeel66: I never said that the scriptures didn't mention God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. You're right, if it weren't for the catholic church, christianity wouldn't be in the situation its in right now. Why bother answering if you are giong to avoid the questions?

Rev Kev: How can you be so hypocritical to say that you put faith in God and not his bible that was written by men? Is it not God's word, inspired to men? Does God not have the ability to protect and preserve his inspired truths? Have you read the scriptures and the numerous fulfilled prophecies about the messiah? Maybe that is why you are ignorant and confused about your God, you haven't read his letter to you.

Sam B: Maybe you should research the definition of your beliefs, the trinity means that the three are EQUAL. It doesn't assume, it asserts. The reason why this confuses me is because it is not found in the bible but it is widely taught and believed. If its in the bible, I don't question it because I have studied it enough to understand it. May I suggest you do the same?

Jayelle: Show me where its at in the bible, please! The truth is so simple that children are able to understand it. Have you ever attempted to logically explain the trinity doctrine to a child? It all comes down to faith, right? We're not supposed to be able to understand his ways are we? That phrase is used a lot but it contradicts bible teachings.

Jesus said that christians are not to be a part of this world, but to be citizens of his god's government. If you disagree with what they are doing then you are disagreeing with God's will of the conclusion of this system.

If you want to know more about Jesus becoming God then
read the book When Jesus became God it is true he is not
God He also told his disciples when ask if one could sit on the right side of him in heaven and he said it is not mines to give
it is up to my father. I have did extensive research on this and the book is the only evidence other than scripture that i have but people have gotten upset with me because of what i be live it was around 425 A.D. the Nicene creed 4 century is where the emperor Constantine and the pope voted on the humanity and spirituality of Jesus and they voted him God the Church need to fully tell the truth and stop lying to people but they wont but remember what the bible said about the whore of Babylon she has many daughters. How very right you are! It is very important that we know the truth about Jesus and his Father.
John 4:23: 23 "Nevertheless, the hour is coming, and it is now, when the true worshipers will worship the Father with spirit and truth, for, indeed, the Father is looking for suchlike ones to worship him"
John 17:3: "This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ. "
Luke 4:8: "In reply Jesus said to him: “It is written, ‘It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.’”
This following verse is a good one too showing that God and Jesus are two separate individuals...
Matthew 3:16 & 17: After being baptized Jesus immediately came up from the water; and, look! the heavens were opened up, and he saw descending like a dove God’s spirit coming upon him. 17 Look! Also, there was a voice from the heavens that said: “This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved.”
The Bible is written to us in terms that we as humans can understand. That is why it stresses over and over the relationship between God and Jesus as Father and Son. Never is a father and son the same individual. The son may have many of the same characteristics, as Jesus and his Father certainly do, but they are definitely not the same individual. The Bible is very clear on this teaching...but the Bible even warns that people will twist things...
2 Peter 3:16: " speaking about these things as he does also in all [his] letters. In them, however, are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unsteady are twisting, as [they do] also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction."
Here is one last Scripture which I will add because it is a good one and shows what we are talking about...
1John 1:7: " However, if we are walking in the light as he himself is in the light, we do have a sharing with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin."

I believe in Jesus. I believe that He was a real person who lived in about the time in history in which He was said to have lived. I do NOT believe that He was the Messiah or the Son of God. I ascribe to the Islamic thought that Jesus was a prophet (I'm not Islamic, I just happen to agree with this line of thought).
Anyone can claim to be of divine origins. Charles Mason often claims to be the reincarnation of Jesus and was referred to as both God and Satan by his followers. Jim Jones was also considered divine by his flock. David Koresh was firmly convinced that he was the Messiah. Greek myth is full of mortals that claimed to be related to the gods.
Truth is, none of us were around back then (that we can remember, at least). People have a way of seeing what they want to see. Were Jesus' miracles as spectacular as the Bible would have us believe, or were they perhaps simple parlor tricks not unlike those practiced by illusionists today?
I attended a live show put on by David Copperfield, at the conclusion of which he flew off the stage and over the heads of the audience. It was very impressive, and there was no sign of trickery or wires. But I still don't believe a man can fly.

David Koresh claimed to be sent by God. Since he said it, should I believe Koresh?
Just because Jesus said he is God's son doesn't make it so.
And besides, we don't know that he said that. The Bible claims he said that, and if someone wants to place Jesus on a pedestal, then what better way than to make him the son of God.
For all we know, Jesus might not have made such an outrageous claim. For all we know, he may have meant he was a child of God, much like how all humans are children of God.
If you put your faith in the Bible instead of God, then I can see where you are confused. The Bible was written by men filled with agendas and biases. Would you rely on centuries-dead men for your important life decision? Or would you rather put faith in God?
To answer your original question, I do believe Jesus in many of his other words (at least those the Bible chose to attribute to him). I believe Jesus when he said that you should worry about the plank in your own eye first. I believe in the morality of the Good Samaritan. I believe in not judging others.
Edit: You asked: "Does God not have the ability to protect and preserve his inspired truths?" One would think so, yes. But God also has the ability to protect and preserve the innocence of children, the sanctity of love, and the value of life. When you look around, then obviously God has not done this. So, if God is unwilling to protect children, love, and life, then what makes you think he would do anything to protect truth? There is no reason to believe that the Bible was inspired by anything more than men. If you believe this in spite of the blatant lack of evidence that God inspired the Bible, then I fear you are just projecting your hopes onto us. I would rather accept reality--a book written by men is not divinely inspired. Only a book written by God can be divinely inspired.

No one believes in Jesus or God, for that matter, anymore because our country has taken hime out of everything. Do you know they are fixing to take the "In God We Trust" off of our money? But, in the bible, it is predicted that people will begin to not believe. But, i see that many people said something about this david guy saying he was God, Believe this, "There will be many false prophets". I think that if our government would stop taking Jesus out of everyday life, people would still have faith like they used to. It is coming, the end of times. It's all predicted. If you do not believe, just pick up the bible and read Revalations, and then say you don't believe. Everything is there.

First, the Holy Trinity doesn't assume that they are one in the same, and if you believe the Trinity that does not mean that you don't believe in Jesus. I could think of things that other religions practice/say that can't be found in the bible, but I don't agree with them so I don't practice that faith. Maybe you should do the same. Just because you don't understand/agree with something doesn't mean that you or they are wrong or right. Just agree to disagree and practice what you want. Why waste time pointing out what you believe to be flaws in their religion? Do you really think it's going to convince someone to change? And I really don't see how believing in the Trinity could in any way mean that you don't believe in Jesus.

The Bible mentions three manifestations of God -- and states explicitely that there is only one God. Your interpretation contradicts the second statement (that there is only one God). The trinity is not in the Bible, but does not contradict either of these statements.

I never understood the trinity even when it was thou roughly explained to me. I don't know enough about Christianity to really debate, but there are so many contradictions in the Bible about Jesus(pbuh) and his role- that I was always left feeling confused.
However, I do not criticize the ones who believe Jesus is the son of God, I just don't believe it.

David Koresh believed he was a son of God like Jesus. Who believed him? BTW, the Catholic Church has their own set of rules. You really can't compare a Catholic, though Christian, to Protestant faiths.

You certainly don't sound like any Christian I've ever met! In addition to what you've said, the messiah will be a normal human just as the rest of us, but he will bring peace on earth and justice for all humanity. He will not leave and return to wreak vengeance and condemn non-believers to eternal punishment.
When the messiah arrives, "...they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore." (Micah 4:3)
