Not in the UK. Such details are protected by Data Protection Laws.

It depends why you want to know if they are in custody...and the details are not online in the UK.

If you are at risk, you should have been informed of any bail conditions if an individual is bailed to appear (in DV cases or cases of violence)

Equally if you have a 'right' to know because you are a victim, then the police or CPS will let you know whether the defendant is in custody or not.

If you are not a victim...then you have no legal right to know who is in custody, even if they are a relative, if they have stipulated that they don't want you to know.

Depends on the Municipality and whether they have that capability established on line. Otherwise you will have to call the jail in person. They will tell you if that person is in jail or not. You will need to tell them the name though.

Yeah sure....

Got you local police website, and click on 'whos in here', and you'll be directed to an hourly updated list of who is there....!

This is especially useful for criminals who need to know if their co-defendents are detained already!

Later..... :)
