What do you look for to determine the chemistry on a first date?

First I look into his eyes. The eyes are the windows to the soul. His eyes will tell you a lot like if he's warm and gentle. Then I talk with him for a while - if he has a nice personality, if he makes me laugh and if we have common interests, then those are definitely good signs. I don't really know if there is such a thing as "love at first sight" because a person's personality is a big part of the attraction. If by the end of the first date, he has done anything that turns you off, then move on - he's not for you.

A simple way is to see if you have a common interest, common topic , in another words, can both of you click . Then you can also observe how he treats you, by his body language, his character (e.g. is he impatient when the food ordered takes a longer time to come, etc) Though I would say that the 1st date can't really tell you much , but at least from his little actions , you can basically tell if there is any potential for more future dates. God I hate 1st dates!!! The thing you have 2 look 4 is.... how comfortable u feel when u r with him.
U have 2 have some common interests so u can keep the conversation going or else it will b a little weird!!!
Similar humor plays a big role.......its weird 2 have 2 laugh just 2 b polite I hate that!!!!!
Advice just b urself that's the only way u r gonna see if u guyz match...........GOOD LUCK!!!

Whether or not the person sitting across from me makes my heart beat or my breath catch. They also have to have a cool personality. Looks arent the only imporant key although it helps.

i think if you feel comfortable talking with the person and every time he speaks your heart just jumps a mile then you have chemistry with the person.You will know if you do or not.
