I too have this dilema every year, as I too make lots and lots, but found the perfect way to store them. I buy the gallon size zip top baggies. After the pretzels are cooled and dry, i lay them flat inside the baggie, using wax paper between the layers. I then put them in the fridge and make sure they stay sealed tight. Make sure you squeeze all of the air out before storing them. Also when you take them out of the fridge, you will have little bits of water ( it's the condenstaion where the pretzels are going from cold fridge to room temp. This is normal). I also lay them out on wax paper to come to temp so they dont stick. You can also just put them into the smaller baggie and put those into the containers you are giving them in if they are gifts.\
ps they also freeze well.. use the same method with a freezer bag

Keep them sealed and dry as water will "bloom" the chocolate giving you white marks.
The chocolate seals the pretzels and keeps them fresh, so if you keep the chocolate dipped pretzels in an air tight container in a cool dark place they will be fine for far longer than a week.
The one's in the stores weren't just made yesterday!
Good luck and happy holidays!

You need to store them in an airtight container in a cool place.
Do not store them in your refrigerator or your freezer! This will cause them to sweat when they hit room temperature.
You can either wrap them individually to kept them from sticking together or you can space them apart on wax paper and stack the layers of wax paper one on top of the other.
If you are making small pretzels, small cup cake liners work great. For longer pretzel sticks, try the type of liners they use in bakeries for lady fingers, cannolis, eclairs, etc. A local bakery could tell you where to get them and might even be willing to sell them to you. These liners can be stacked just like the waxed paper, but you don't have to remove them before serving. You can get them in just about any color and design you can think of.

Keep it in a cool place and in a air tight container or keep in a freeze-able container and keep in freezer, then take it out the night before the work function.
