i cant believe im answering this - and in a positive way - this is totally immoral, and disgusting to even think about, but in answer to your question.... in this case, i dont believe anything at all would be illegal, if the law wasn't broken anywhere else (like rape / assault ETC).... as you pointed out, she's not a blood relative, and she's well passed the age of consent.......... but really.... if you did do it, that would be so sick, and it SHOULD be illegal, but im sure its not.......... UNFORTUNATELY)

Limitations on why someone can or can not be married are present for so many reasons. To relate one issue to the other at least in my eyes is ridiculous.Inter-family marriage is obviously restricted for health concerns. How is a child's health threatened by a same sex marriage? Lets be realistic marriage is simply a legal union of two people who have such strong feelings for each other that they want to spend the rest of their lives together. I grew up in a very urban environment where many of my friends were brought up in a family with same sex parents. They are fine there is nothing wrong with them. They are fully functional individuals. I believe that when it comes to a legal view point the issue is not so much if the same sex union can have children as what is the health and well being of the child. I believed many of these fears stem from a lack of exposure to the situation. You would be surprised how many instances of same sex partners having children that actually exist. The only difference is it isn't legal. I don't think that much would really change if it is made legal except certain religious leaders having heart attacks.

I to have had some questions as it relates to this topic. Not because I would engage in this type of thing but purely from an intellectual standpoint. Now if you are one that believes inthe Bible as I do then surely this question poses a few questions of logic. Noah and all his family, along with animals get on the Ark as God proceeds to flood the earth. Now then the question. How did the earth repopulate? Surely there had to be some family sexual activity going on between them. Now the question is this. If that was the case why is doing that now so frowned upon. As with all things I think it is man. His ways, his beliefs. I could go on with a few other examples but it would only detract from the question. For me it is something that I would not get into. Simply from a stand point of hey that just doesn't sound right. She is your step daughter and as such should be protected as if she were your own. Of course thoughts will enter our minds but thats a thought you should dismiss.

If she is your step daughter then it would be illegal for you to have a sexual relationship. It is understandable to feel this way, as you do not have the same relationship with her that you would with a biological child or one which you had raised from birth. However, you cannot act on these feelings as you would be breaking the law.
Our morals are based on the law, in other words, as the law changes, values and morals change with it. (ie in victorian times it was perfectly acceptable for men to have sex with 12 and 13 year old girls, where as now this is seen as totally unnacceptable).
In some other societies, since she is not your biological daughter, it would be morally and legally acceptable for you to have a relationship.

Can I just say from the offset, I think you need help, it doesn't say if you have brought you Step-Daughter up from small, but even so how can you look on you own daughter, and get sexually aroused, I'm pretty damn sure she's not looking at you in that way.
And as for inviting people and I presume you mean like minded people like you, to email you with "Sensible ". and I use the term loosely things to say, you should be ashamed of yourself. I hope your wife reads your emails, so that she can protect your daughter from you.

Dude. What kind of question is that! If you are willing to say the things you have on this site, god only knows what you've really been thinking about her. "i'm sure this will never come to anything" - you what? She's your wife's daughter and an 18 year old is still a kid in my book.

Legally there is nothing wrong, you are not blood relatives so it is not incest, and she is over 16, so not illegal, assuming of course that she gave her full consent without coersion.
As to the morality of it then that is for the individuals involved to decide. Personally your question makes me feel quite uncomfortable and I think you need to take a real hard look at why you are asking it.

i think it would be perfectly normal, I'd do it, you obviously ain't gettin' any from her mother. 18 is the perfect age, their not too undeveloped and not too experienced, though they are mature and level headed enough to have meaningful sex with. Plus at 18 she is probably smooth and wrinkle free, why not. Don't do it if you don't have deep feeling's for her, ask yourself am I attracted to her mind as well as her body. I think if you have raised her and been a father to her than it is immoral slightly, but then again you have had time to get to know her.

Asking this is a clear evidence that you've never really become a father to her.
Does she consider and respect you as a father? Does your wife consider you as her soulmate and a husband?
It may not be illegal. As for morality, it depends on how corrupt is your infamily relations to comply with your pathetic pervert state of mind.
No doubt you're an a**hole of the grandest kind.

I'm so disghusted I made up this name to tell you my experience with a f***ed up stepfather like you.
I was 16 at the time and "legal" in our state when my stepfather decided that he was getting aroused by how pretty and sexy I was. He went ahead and made a move. I turned him down but do you have any idea what happened to me?
He had lived as my father for crying out loud. And then he wanted to proposition me?
Your her father dirtbag, whether there's a step in front of it or not. Divorce her mother and get the hell out before you f*** up some young woman's life like my dirtbag stepfather did just by telling me how attracted to me he was. Your disgusting.
