it depends on the breed of white duck you are reffering to,a pekin duck which is a meat bird is too heavy to fly it will spread its wings and may lift off the ground a few inches but thats about it,a white call duck on the other hand can and will fly call ducks are adorably tiny little ducks and have the abillity to fly very well

We will assume that you are talking about Peking Ducks, and they are a domestic duck , they can fly, but for only a short distance., only a few yards at a time unlike wild ducks that can fly a great distance. So it is not such a dumb question after all!

Most domestic breeds have been bred not to fly. Such as the Rouen, Pekin and Cayuga. I dont think white cresteds can fly. But I have never had one before. I do know that my Cayugas are never gonna fly and neither did my Mallards or pekins. My baby mallard is one day gonna fly though.

all ducks can fly. Those kept as "ornamental" as in, lawn pets, may have their wings clipped regularly so that they can't fl very far.
